Many
times when we help
new customers with
our call center
software, the question
is often brought
up what the difference
is between VOIP
and Analog lines.
Also, many people
dont even know what
VOIP is. So, what
we would like to
do is explain to
you what VOIP is
and what it does
and also how it
works with our call
center software
to help benefit
you and your call
center.
VOIP
services convert
your voice into
a digital signal
that travels over
the Internet, it
is also called Voice
over internet protocal
which is the reason
for the acronym
VOIP. VOIP can allow
you to make calls
directly from your
computer as well
as with our call
center software.
One of the benefits
of our software
working with VOIP
is that our software
is ip based software.
Ther
is a broadband (high
speed Internet)
connection required.
This can be through
a cable modem, or
high speed services
such as DSL or a
local area network.
You need to have
a computer, or an
adaptor. If you
use your computer,
such as would be
the case with our
call center software,
you dont even need
a telephone for
the VOIP to work
to call customers.
All you need is
a noise canceling
headset to call
with our software.
Contact
Center Online works
with VOIP providers,
however, should
you rent or purchase
our call center
software and you
choose to go with
a VOIP connection,
we recommend that
you use MDCI. This
is the name of the
VOIP provider we
reccomend to all
of our VOIP customers.
If
you have any additional
questions about
VOIP or would like
to contact us regarding
a demo, rental or
a purchase, please

Information
