To rent or not to rent, that is the question. Some people dont know if a rental is the best thing for them whereas there are others who have either rented a dialer before or currently are and would tell you that it is the only way to go. There are so many reasons as to why you should rent a dialer, and we would love to give you as much information about rentals as you need so hopefully we can answer all of your questions you might have about a rental today.

Rentals are perfect if you are runnig a call center for a specific length of time. For example, typically when elections come around, people that are running in the election race love to use a dialer for the simple fact that they can contact massive amounts of people faster on a dialer then they would be able to dialing by hand. With a predictive dialer rental there are many things to consider. Almost all of the companies out there that have been researched all do one thing, they host your dialer in a Virtual Call Center. Most companies that do rentals also make you pay extra for multiple campaigns whereas iCall Solutons lets you run as many campaigns as you want to. Almost everything you need with a rental is not supplied normally, however with Contact Center Online, we provide a server with different options of loaning it to you, or allowing you to obtain ownership after one year of your rental. Hardware such as a Quintum router is provided as a loaner, if you need agent computers, headsets CAT 5 cables, keyboards, and a mouse as well. In many cases, you have to provide everything that you need for your rental other than the location of where your server is hosted. What are the benefits of keeping the harware on site? There are many, for example, if you are using a hosted solution from other rental companies they usually put more than one call center in their servers which can easily cause a server to slow down your progress or ultimately crash the system. When this happens, you are at the mercy of not just the company, but at the mercy of all of the other call centers getting up and running as well. If your campaign crashes when you are in the middle of it, so goes all the other call centers that are on the server as well. When this happens, what ever number you are listed as on that specific server is when you will be back in operation. In other words, a server will reboot the call centers in specific order, just as a home computer does when you start it up. This could take a long time, and time in a call center is money, and the longer you are down the more time and money you have just lost. Another great advantage to having the hardware on site is when you want to start a new campaign you just go in to your software and start a new campaign. With other companies you have to either call or email them and wait for them to get this done. This again takes time to do, plus can cost you more money.

In the end, ultimately, the question you have to ask yourself is, Will renting a predictive dialer with a hosted solution, or renting a dialer where the hardware is on site the best thing for you. In our experience we have found that having the hardware on site is a much better way to go. Again, you are at not at the mercy of a hosted solution where many things could go wrong and you are playing a waiting game. On site hardware allows you to use it how you need to on your time and not someone elses.
